We asked for it, and they gave it to us. Mystery Manila debuts its third game offering to its growing client base, and we got to try it.
(If you’ve never heard about Mystery Manila, here’s a background reading about Philippines’ first role-playing game room. Check this out: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/lifestyle/06/26/14/check-out-real-life-rpg-mystery-manila)
The Ticking Time Bomb
Set-up:
Let’s play a game. We will test if Manila’s police force can save the very citizens it has vowed to protect. Inside this vault is a bomb set to explode in 90 minutes. Your clues to disarm the bomb are this celphone and locked box which holds the code to the vault. The clock is ticking. Solve quickly.
Preparation:
Come in early so you won’t miss your time slot. Warm up your brain cells by solving some riddle games free for download for Android.
Unlike the first two games, Chained Chamber and Justice for Jamila, Ticking Time Bomb does not take place in a room. It is hence advisable to come in comfortable clothes and shoes as you will be doing a lot of brisk walking from Mystery Manila’s headquarters along c5, to Eastwood City across.
With about 15 minutes left to solve the puzzle, we were able to arrive at a conclusion.
But did we solve the mystery?
And were we good enough to win a prize and a spot on the leader board?
MYSTERY FAIL!
Ok so this time, we failed to solve the mystery. But we had a lot of fun nonetheless.
A concerted effort towards a goal brings people closer to each other. So if you’re looking for a bonding experience with your friends and family, visit Mystery Manila.
Here’s a montage of what people thought after playing.
